My Favorite Book

                                 My Favorite Book

My favorite book is novel "Carrie" by Stephen King, it's about a story that a regular high school girl got bullied in school because of her weird behavior. Other girls beat her and even throw tampons at her when she had her first period. No one likes to be her friend. On day, Carrie suddenly discovers that she has superpower and can control things as she wants, she practices and starts trying to figure it out secretly. As the prom day comes close, a popular girl named Sue starts feeling sorry for Carrie and wants to help her, so she asked her boyfriend, one of the most popular boys in school to take Carrie to prom with him. Carrie didn't trust him at first but still accepts him because she wants to have more a different life in school. The prom goes well in the beginning, all friends of Tommy were nice to Carrie. she really feels happy for the first time in school, and she even got elected for the prom queen. But when she and Tommy go on stage to accept the Queen and King, it turns out to be a prank by other girls in school, they pour pig blood from the top of the stage on their heads, both Carrie and Tommy were covered in blood, and Tommy even was killed by the bucket. Everyone present including teachers start laughing at her and Carrie finally lost it, she uses her power and makes the prom into a hell, killing everyone as revenge.
I like this book first because the writing of Stephen King is very good, it gave me the same stressful or scared feeling as Carrie, also the inner meaning of this story also got me think a lot, Carrie is weird and unpopular, but that should not be the reason that she should be bullied and treated badly in school, she lost this when she thought she could make a difference but turned out still getting bullied, then she used her power and made every one get the karma they deserved. But no one is real life have power like Carrie, but many of them are getting bullied too, what can they do? They can't control the surroundings and tear those bad guys into pieces, so they have to get used to it and live life like that, that's very sad.
The book was King's first novel, but it's still amazing to read and even reflects some current issues, that's why it's my favorite book.
